The early warm for the evening as patrons enter and situate themselves will be Blackstar. A local sound that has played alongside the majority of Bermuda sounds as well as international performers such as StoneLove, David Rodigan and KillamanJaro to name just a few. They play a wholesome brand of reggae that highlights foundation songs, singers and roots and culture.
The host for the evening festivities will be none other than Bermuda’s premier comedian, Nadanja……
Local performers for the evening will consist of Ali Malik and Ramon Clarke. Ali has performed for a number of years at the highest level in Bermuda at all the major shows as well as performing internationally. Ali is a consummate professional and his years of experience exude whenever he performs. Ramon Clarke has also performed in front of large audiences. He has a silky smooth voice and has collaborated with the likes of Luciano. Both artists deliver and get the crowd going in a positive direction.
After the local performers have got the patrons moving it is time for a very special treat. SoulJahOne, with veteran selector Magic, have agreed to participate in a dub expo with local sound Stalwart. Stalwart’s lead personality is JGroove. Each of these sounds has a rich and deep appreciation for the sound system movement which propelled many artists to stardom. They have both clashed locally and internationally to positive outcomes and rave reviews. On this evening you will be treated to fifteen minutes each of specialized recordings and then watch as both sounds showcase a one for one.
